I am a fifteen year old freshman from Park City, Utah. Pretty sweet place to grow up huh? I play lacrosse, basketball, the tenor saxophone, I am the oldest of four kids, and I have a real passion for music. Music is a huge part of my life, and impacts me largely. I am constantly listening to music throughout the day, and can never really get it out of my head. My favorite type of music, and what I know most about, is underground rap, which is why I have chosen to write my blog about it. Most of the music I will be posting about is by pretty well known artist, but songs that that not many people have heard. On the other hand, I play lacrosse at an extremely high level, and I have recently started going through the college recruiting process... talk about stressful. Everyday my parents make me email college coaches that will be at upcoming tournaments I am attending or asking them about possibly touring their campus. To be honest, I am not even sure I want to play lacrosse in college. Anyway, at this point, it is what I love to do, and I basically eat, sleep and breath it... I mostly just do it for fun, and my parents make me do another sport so I don't burn out. The other freshmen on the basketball team are really good, at least they think they are, but I hold my own (considering that I am 5'11'', 195lbs). I am also not very good at Tenor Sax, but I have a fun time making music. However, with band this year we are required to play in the pep band at the home football games. It absolutely sucks, honestly after every game I consider quitting. But I need three years of fine arts credits to graduate, and I hate art, so it's a fair tradeoff. Other than that, my life is pretty boring: I don't really party, I don't have a girlfriend, not that many friends... I'm just a kid, confused about life, going through it trying to figure out what I'll end up doing (original right).
